Exciting News: First Patient Enrolled in the UNLOAD CHIP trial at Amsterdam VU Medical Center, the Netherlands

We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our mission to advance healthcare and improve patient outcomes.
Prof.dr. Paul Knaapen and Dr. Alex Nap (Principal Investigator) enrolled the first patient in the UNLOAD CHIP (Use of Mechanical Left Ventricular Unloading in Complex Higher-risk Indicated Procedures) trial. It is a prospective, randomized, controlled, open-label, multicentre trial. The study aims to test whether the prophylactic use of PulseCath iVAC 2L during (stable) CHIP in patients with reduced LV function and concomitant left sided congestion is superior to a mechanical unassisted PCI procedure. The primary endpoint is all-cause mortality or cardiogenic shock after 30 days.
